Chorus by Rebecca Kauffman
The Shaw family lives on a farm in Virginia--Jim and Marie and their seven children. Chorus recounts the family's life in the first half of the twentieth century, especially how the children's lives are affected by Marie's mental illness and death when they were young. We also see the Shaw siblings grow into adulthood and become parents themselves. A great choice for book groups, those enjoying novels about family relationships, in addition to being a read-alike for Ask Again, Yes and The Dearly Beloved.
