Mickie Lambert works for a company that makes digital scrapbooks for customers. Mickie is assigned to compile one for Nadia Denham, who has Alzheimer's and owns an antique shop called Beautiful Things. Nadia shows Mickie the items she would like as part of her scrapbook, with accompanying stories, but soon after Nadia is found dead, an apparent suicide. Despite Nadia's death, Mickie feels compelled to finish the job, yet finds herself entangled with Nadia's family and the other business owners in the complex where Beautiful Things is housed.
